Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AudioAsk, a service operated by Natives Sàrl, collects, uses and protects your personal data. It applies to the AudioAsk website and application (web and mobile). We process your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, username, password (hashed) or the identifier from your authentication provider (Google, Apple).
  • Usage data: podcasts and episodes you follow, transcriptions and analyses generated, favorites, playlists, history and preferences.
  • Technical data: connection logs, IP address, device and browser type, and technical cookies required for your session.
  • Billing data: subscription plan and status. We do not store any card details — payments are handled by our provider Paddle (see §4).

4. Processors and recipients

We rely on third-party providers acting as processors, solely for the purposes above:

  • Paddle — payment processing and billing (Merchant of Record).
  • Infomaniak (Switzerland) — hosting of the API and database.
  • Vercel — hosting of the web application.
  • LemonFox — audio transcription.
  • DeepSeek and Google (Gemini) — AI text analysis.
  • Google and Apple — authentication (if you choose these sign-in methods).
  • Podcast Index / Apple / iTunes — podcast search and suggestions.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

5. International transfers

Some processors may process data outside Switzerland and the European Union. Where this happens, we ensure that appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) govern such transfers.

6. Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is erased or anonymized within a reasonable period, subject to retention periods required by law (e.g. accounting obligations).

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (password hashing, secure HTTPS connections, access control) to protect your data.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the FADP, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. You can:

  • delete your account and the associated data directly from the application (account settings);
  • exercise any other right by writing to admin@natives.ch.

9. Cookies

We only use technical cookies necessary for the service to function (session, authentication, language preference). We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Minors

The service is not intended for persons under 16. We do not knowingly collect data about minors.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. In the event of a material change, we will inform you by an appropriate means. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page.
